Today during our lunch break over at DMACC, we were a little extra hungry. After we finished the sack lunch my mom prepares for us daily, we wanted some dessert. Problem was neither of us had our debit cards, credit cards, or cash at all. I said lets just gather up some change and buy a small ice cream cone at McDonalds. Brenden put the idea down at first but was later persuaded. I began to pick out his pennies from his car. There were a few quarters, dimes, and nickels, but mostly pennies. After 15 minutes of digging, we came up with $5 dollars worth of change (mostly copper). Not only did we have enough change to buy us each a cone but we were able to invite our other comrad, Stephen Ites, who just happened to be passing us on the way to his car. So all 3 of us DMACC students drove down the street to a DQ. We ordered a Twist for Stephen, vanilla for me, and chocolate for Brenden. As Brenden handed our leftover sandwich baggy full of pennies and other various coins, Stephen in the back and me in shot gun began to laugh histerically. It was one of the funniest moments in my short lived Community College career. The lady did not even count out the change and we think we may have been 24 cents short. We are defenitely broke college kids just livin' the dream!
