On Sunday, we celebrated my 20th birthday by boating out at Alum Creek State Park. We rented a boat for the day, cruised around the lake, swam, tubed, and knee boarded. With the water being so choppy, it was the perfect recipe for big air. I was later told my Aunt Gail, there were times I was five feet off the water. My uncle had no mercy and the combination of waves and sharp turns, it was disaster waiting to happen. And disaster was what happened. When it was all said and done, I had a few complications. Torn ligaments in my shoulders, two bruises on my leg, strained forearm, popped blood vessel in my ear, damaged vertebrae, pulled back muscles, and I think my neck needs realigned. I'm may be embellishing those injuries a little bit, however, it is Tuesday night and it still hurts to shampoo my head, put on a shirt, or anything else that requires me to raise my arms over my head. Other than the damage to my body, the day out on the water was heaven on earth.
