life in columbus

I have now been here in the great state of Ohio now for one week. After my cousin Nathan had his open house last Saturday, I didn't really know what was going to happen for the remainder of my month here. Last Sunday night after my family went home I really felt God lay out for me my purpose for being here.

First reason is to shadow my Uncle Doug and just get see what he does day in and day out. I have done that and we have gone to meetings, appointments, and are traveling to a church in Dayton to speak this weekend. Being with my uncle, I have learned a lot and been able to have good quality discussions about life.

Second reason is to deepen my relationship with the Lord, read several books, prayer and meditation, and just getting refocused before I take off for North Central in the fall. By not being at home, I have had limited disctractions which has enabled me to spend much more time in prayer and reading the word.

The last reason is to just relax. I have been able to start this blog page, golf a little bit, work out daily, get plenty of sleep, and of course watch 24. When I am at home I feel I am always on the run and always doing something and never spend time by myself and think.

So there is the three fold reason as to why I am spending an entire month of my summer out here in Buckeye Country. I am excited for what God is doing in my life right now and can't wait to see what he has in store for me this coming school year. It will be nice to be back home when I do come back and am anxious to see my bros!
