come home running

I never thought I could get tan at 7:45 in the morning. The hot streak which started on Thursday, is still here today. When I got up this morning, a tad bit earlier than normal, I wanted to do what I started to do in Ohio. So I grabbed my iPod, my tennie-runners, and began my 2.5 mile prayer walk. As the lyrics of my worship music began to play, I just began to talk with God. There is something about praying outside in God's creations that is so special. The Holy Spirt began to press on my heart the words passion and intensity. I began to ask God to intensify my heart and give me a passion for the lost. You see, earlier this morning, I started reading a book entitled, "What You Can't Do In Heaven." It is about sharing your faith here on earth because once we die there will be no unsaved to witness to. As I was praying for passion and intensity, my heart started to break and I felt a burden for the community of Johnston. I feel like God is starting to do something special in this city, and even though I will be in Minneapolis, I am thrilled to see what God will do. "Come Home Running," was a song that came on my iPod toward the end of my walk. It was such a beautiful chorus as it talked about coming back to Jesus just as you are. It is my song for the week because everytime I listen to it, I remember how much Jesus wants all of us to run to him...his arms are wide open.

Jonathan you challenge me constantly. It's so easy to forget the reason why we are here, to get caught up with everyday life and lose sight of eternity. I want to read that book when you're done, k? Maybe you could finish by the time we come home end of this month?? I love you, and we are praying for Cory.

Jonathan I love reading your blog. You are an awesome writer. I want to get that book and read it. I have been challenged lately about living in the last days. I know God has great things in store for you. We love you and are proud of you. Aunt Marilynn
