relax and just play scum

Wednesday night was a night to just relax and play a little game we like to call "scum." Scum has quickly become a J-town favorite since I got back form Ohio, where I learned the game. Although we have had various winners and losers, Kelsey Brown has proved herself as the one to beat. Wednesday night was the funnest night though by far. Derek Furrow, Peter Holmgren, Rob Lang, Gabrielle Liljedahl, Leah King, Gabrielle's mom (Lori), and I played 'till after midnight. Scum is a simple card game requires focus, ability to count to 14, luck of the draw, and valuing high cards and pairs. First one to get rid of their cards is President...last one to get rid of their cards is scum. Holmgren was President of the entire night and Gabrielle was scum of the night (sorry Gabrielle). We had some drama between Gabrielle and her mom and some good laughs making fun of Derek and Leah's childhood baths together and matching T-shirts. It was such a fun night and i'm sure we will be playing scum again in the near future. Will you be there? Relax!!!

DRAMA? Gabrielle started it! ha!
She's a preety sweet daughter to let her mom join in.Thanks for sticking up for me, Jonathan (when
she tried to get me to go home). She told me you blogged on the subject so I thought I should defend myself. I must confess, I was sceptical about playing "scum" in the 1st place (I think the name had something to do with it and also the fact that I would be playing with teens and very young adults)but it was alot of fun! I think the word of the day was "RELAX"-right Jonathan? Well, by the time you said it for the 100th time-ha ha-, I felt myself relaxing. Have you considered teaching meditation classes/ You could shout out "RELAX" every 10 minutes and then sleep in between times. Now that's your kind of job Jonathan and by the looks of your most recent blog, Brendon's (did I spell his name right?)too. Just teasing.
I hope your sweet mom got some sleep. I totally forgot her bedroom is on the first floor. We
owe her big time!
Oh, by the way, Elle misses you!!!
