wildwood...wild week
Last week, I had the privilege and oppurtunity to work at Wildwood Hills Ranch. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it is a camp for underprivileged children. I was a counselor for eleven sixth grade boys. It was quite the experience, as I saw and heard things from these kids, that I had never seen before. I had heard stories about the camp, but it wasn't until I spent a full week down there, did I really witness the spiritual battle at the camp. The devil has such a hold on so many of these young children. I do not really know how to explain the week in words, so I won't try. The only other thing I would like to say, as I wrap this blog up, is that Matt Moeckl is going such an amazing job down at that Ranch. God deserves ALL the credit, but in his two years as camp director, Matt has made Wildwood Hills Ranch a life changing place. Matt provides a place for hurting kids to come, hear about Christ, and feel loved for the first time in their lives. Sometimes we forget that our mission field can be in our own backyards.
