expect the unexpected

It started out as a typical night of fellowship at the Hukee residence last night. Mitch Hoover, Stephen, Jake, and I were just chit-chatting in his kitchen when before we decided to go to Cold Stone and get a treat. With Since I picked up Mitch and Jake is the worst driver ever we had to decide between my car and Stephen's. Well my piece isn't doin so hot and Stephen's Jeep is wonderful on a night like last night, so the Jeep it was. Cold Stone went well as we ate our treats and discussed the rest of the night. I am going to start a new paragraph and that's where it gets messy.
Mitch and I were in the back seat with the top down and Hukee, in shotgun, suggests we go off-roading. Hoover seconded that motion and I was game because we had nothing else planned. It didn't take more than ten minutes before we were bouncing around in the Jeep off in some construciton site behind the Bridge church off of 100th St. Upon spotting a nice revine, Hukee made the remark, "Ites go for it, that will be sick!" Stephen being the somewhat cautious fellow since it is his car, gets out and checks out the surroundings up ahead.
We began the decent down the hill and then found our selves in over five feet of mud. O well we will just reverse out of here real quick before we get stuck. O man nevermind we are already stuck. We preceded to rock back and fourth trying ever which way to get out. Hukee stripped and climed out sunk in the mud up to his thighs and then tried to push...that was worthless. As the tires begin to spin I realize the top is still off and mud is raining down on us and the Jeep's intertior. Before long everything and every body is soaked in mud. And the only thing that has changed is one of us is naked and we are even more stuck than when we started. What do we do next?
Call none other than Mark Stewert. We figured he's a win win because if his beast of a truck cannot pull us out then he is large enough of a man to just strap the tow roap to himself and pull us out. When he finally navigated himself back to where we were it took him about five minutes to assess the situation, connect the cars, and pull us out. It was a sight to see that's for sure.
In order to keep Scott Ites from finding out we went to the car wash and Stephen bought two $8 washes to get the car nearly spotless. It was not the night I had forseen in my head but yet it was still one of the sweetest things ever.
